The introduction of corporate governance guidelines has been vital for creating transparency in the capital markets. In the Polish capital market it generally took root during 2002. To a large extent, corporate governance represents an ethical code, as well as sound business practises. As a public company, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Globe Trade Centre has adopted the bulk of the corporate governance guidelines put forward by the Exchange.
